Meet the visionaries behind Cleveland Thermal
Seth Whitney
Chief Operating Officer (East)
As Chief Operating Officer (East), Seth oversees the operational functions of Cleveland Thermal and leads development opportunities in eastern North America. His leadership has elevated us to the forefront of the district energy industry.
Seth’s prior experience in utility construction and various management roles within the utility sector is instrumental. He actively serves on the Board of Directors for the Cleveland 2030 District, an Ohio-based Energy Sustainability organization, and a wealth of other organizations working to improve development and energy infrastructure.
Alexis Omilion
Director, DE Business Development, US East
With over a decade of expertise in thermal systems and industrial process heating, Alexis leads Cleveland Thermal’s Business Development efforts. She nurtures existing customer relationships and collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to explore new markets and business growth opportunities.
Alexis holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in Thermal-Fluid Mechanics and Energy Systems from Cleveland State University. She actively serves on the Mechanical Engineering Advisory Committee at her alma mater.
Scott Templeton
Sr. Manager- Customer & Infrastructure
Scott coordinates underground repairs and maintenance, system expansion projects, and customer metering and support. Drawing from his district energy career spanning over 30 years, he also ensures best practices and procures new equipment to ensure Cleveland Thermal’s district energy services run optimally.
Scott is the Chairman of the Utilities Damage Prevention Council of Northern Ohio and a supportive member of the Ohio Utilities Protection Service/Ohio811.
Joel Bolanos
Senior Manager, Operations and Capital Projects
Joel is responsible for the safe and reliable operation and maintenance of our steam and chilled water production within our District Energy Facility.
Before joining Cleveland Thermal in 2019, Joel worked eight years in various positions with the Medical Center Company, a district energy system.
Joel is a US Navy veteran who worked as a machinist mate/boiler technician and has over 20 years of experience in plant operations and maintenance.
James Kilbane
Financial Planning and Analysis Manager
James leads Cleveland Thermal’s accounting and financial planning. He joined the Cleveland Thermal team in 2018 and brings a wealth of experience from the steel manufacturing and grocery supply chain management sectors in California.
James holds a Bachelor of Accounting and Finance from the University of Idaho and a Master of Business Administration from the University of California Davis.
