Corix Dockside Green DE Limited Partnership (Corix) recently filed an application to the British Columbia Utilities Commission (BCUC) seeking approval of the revenue requirement and rates for Dockside Green Energy (DGE) for the period from July 1, 2025 to December 31, 2028, with Basic Charge rates effective July 1, 2025, January 1, 2026, January 1, 2027 and January 1, 2028 (Application).
Based on the proposals in the Application, the indicative increases to the total annual bill for an 800 sq. ft. residential condo are $108 (15.8%) in 2025, $62 (7.8%) in 2026, $108 (12.8%) in 2027, and $89 (9.3%) in 2028 (if it were a direct customer of DGE). Section 13 on pages 99 to 102 of the Application provides additional bill impact details.
On June 20, 2025, the BCUC issued Order G-153-25, which established a regulatory timetable for the review of the Application and approved a Basic Charge of $0.5538 per square metre per month effective July 1, 2025 on an interim and refundable or recoverable basis.
Appendix B of Order G-153-25 also provided a Public Notice with information about how parties can get involved in the BCUC’s regulatory process for the review of the Application.
